Homemade Chocolate Almond Butter

If there is one thing in my home in abundance...its Almonds! My mom simply loves buying them for us and I somehow can't come up with recipes enough to consume them. I like eating soaked almonds but more often than not, I forget to soak them overnight and the 'almond stock' keeps growing everytime my mom pays us a visit!

Luckily I found a way to utilise oodles of almonds in an healthy and delightful way. Its nutritious and yummy beyond belief!

Ingredients :
Almonds - 2 cups
Your favourite dark chocolate
Honey - if you like it sweet (optional)
Salt - to taste (optional)

Here is a step-by-step photo tutorial:

Step-1 Place Almonds in your food processor
Step-2 Process for 4-5 min.
Continue to process and it would look like this after 2 mins.
Step-3 Scrape the walls and process for another 8 mins.
Step-4 The almonds would now begin to form clumps
Step-5 Add your favourite chocolate

Step-6 Process for another 8-10 mins
End Result - Almond Chocolate Butter

You can now add honey or salt. Enjoy it on toast, muffin, waffles, pancakes or whatever takes your fancy!
