Dahi Wali Arbi (Colocasia & Yogurt)

Ingredients :
Colocassia roots /Arbi - 250 gms
Carom Seeds (ajwain) - 1 tsp
Asafoetida (hing) - 1 pinch
Red Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 pinch
Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
Green chillies - finely chopped
Fresh Coriander - finely chopped
Curd -  250 gms (beaten)
Water - 2 cups
Oil - 2 tbsp
Salt - to taste

Procedure :
  • Boil and peel Colocassia. Cut them in round pieces.
  • Heat oil in pan and add asafoetida and carom seeds.
  • With the flame on sim, add red chilli powder and immediately add some water. Keep stirring till the chilli gives its color.
  • Add turmeric and coriander powder and fry the masala for a minute.
  • Now add the beaten curd and Colocassia roots and cook for 5 minutes adding the salt in the end.
  • Serve hot with rice or chapati.
